The Mavic UST tubeless system has such a good connection between rim and tyre that you can make it tubeless with an ordinary bicycle pump. The wheels come complete with a set of Yksion Pro UST 25mm tyres and latex with which you can immediately hit the road.

The Cosmic Elite UST wheelset has a 30mm high aerodynamic rim. Together with the flat straight pull spokes you give this just that little bit extra aerodynamic advantage over your competitor. In addition, this rim ensures less air resistance and the set is less susceptible to crosswind. The aluminum rim is produced according to the SUP (Soudé Usiné Process) process. The weld seam is milled extremely precisely for a stronger and smoother weld seam. The QRM bearings have a 2RS double seal which ensures that dirt and water do not attack the bearings. This certainly benefits the life of the wheels; the wheels simply continue to run smoothly for much longer

(UST) Universal Tubeless Standard
The Mavic Cosmic Elite UST road bike wheels can be made tubeless thanks to the UST technology. This has many advantages such as reduced rolling resistance, more riding comfort and improved grip. The main advantage of tubeless riding is that you can quickly continue cycling when you have punctured. The liquid latex fills the hole in the tyre within seconds.
